Reports that 49.1% more chartered surveyors reported a fall than a rise in December 2007. This price balance is the most negative since November 1992. The decline in buyer enquiries has eased for the third consecutive month, turning positive for the first time since May 2007. However, it still remains subdued. The ratio of sales against available stock was at its lowest since August 2005. Levels of unsold stock on surveyors' books rose by 7.1%, compounding November's 9.1% rise.
