Reports that the national buy to let market is dominated buy one and two bedroom properties. New build flats account for 61% of entrants to this market over the last six years. The average net income yields is only 3.2%, however two thirds of investors aim to increase their portfolio in the medium term. Only 3% of investors hold a stake of less than 10% equity. Among those who own 20 properties or more, 70% hold equity of over 25%.
