Finds that since the second quarter of 2007 growth has slowed in many regions. In the fourth quarter of 2007 only London and Wales showed growth. The crisis in credit and confidence has resulted in volatile financial markets and weakened the outlook for growth. Low levels of growth are predicted for the housing market together with the possibility of some falls.
