Reports that the turnover of the European commercial investment market was €246 billion in 2007; a 6.3% increase on 2006. Finds that there has been a strong divergence between the development of the UK and other European markets. Investment activity fell 9% on the previous year in the UK, whilst other European markets rose 15% over 2006. Capital values also fell more sharply in the UK than in Continental Europe. Cross-border activity represented 55% of all deals by value, with a growing interest from Far Eastern buyers who doubled their activity year-on-year.
