Reports that the value of investment transactions fell in 2007, down by 16% to £56 billion for 2007. This is the first time there has been a fall since the report began. However, the level of business for 2007 is still almost double the levels of four years ago. The All Property Transaction Yield Index rose slightly above 5%, whilst the 5-year £ swap rate fell sharply in 2007 to just over 5% from a high of over 6% at the beginning of the year.
