The seventh year of results shows that the UK residential investment market made a small increase during 2007 to deliver 17% returns. This strong performance was driven mainly by capital growth. The slowing of the owner occupier market in the fourth quarter had only a small effect on the year's figures. Total returns for the year were over 20% ahead of the failing commercial market. Growth in the residential market was also much higher than both equities and bonds.
