Reports that leasing activity across Europe in the first quarter of 2008 was generally weak. Take-up fell significantly on the last quarter and 12% on the last year. The CB Richard Ellis Rent Index climbed 1.9% in the first quarter overall, but the rates of increase are below mid-2007 levels. Vacancy rates dropped by 5 basis points over the quarter to 6.76%. The CB Richard Ellis EU-27 Average Prime Office Yield Index rose to 5.28%, an increase of 14 basis points.
