How to respond to our call for solutions -- Executive summary -- Setting the scene: the context in which the review takes place and overview of the issues -- Proportionality: matching resources/skills to planning application demand -- Unnecessary complexity in the policy and planning application system -- The drivers/shapers of culture within local planning authorities -- Ensuring effective and efficient engagement with all affected by and interested in the application -- The implications of these systemic issues for the planning application process

Call for responses from the authors of the forthcoming Killian Pretty review. The review will carry out a detailed review of the process for seeking planning permission. It will look at case studies for a range of different sectors including, housing, business and the renewables industry. Aims to identify reasons for delay in deciding planning applications, and make recommendations for dealing with these and reducing unnecessary burdens for all parties involved in the process. The review has been jointly commissioned by Communities and Local Government and Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Departments.
