Consultation on revisions to Planning Policy Statement 6 (PPS6) follows the commitment in the Planning White Paper Planning for a Sustainable Future to look at the current approach in PPS6 of assessing the impact of proposals outside town centres in a way which maintains a strong focus on the town centre first policy and which promotes competition and improves consumer choice.
