Document sets out long-term plans produced by Government and the insurance industry to allow for the future provision of flood insurance. The commitment to provision of flood insurance is valid until 30 June 2013 and does not cover new properties built after 1 January 2009 - the Association of British Insurers intends to publish guidance on insuring new build developments in Autumn 2008. The commitment set out allows for annual review during the intervening period.
