Discusses forthcoming index releases for the US housing market; problems in the Indian property market (GDP growth has fallen below 8%) and falls in the Spanish housing market brought about by a 36% drop in mortgage approvals from the peak reached in May 2006. Also looks at the Senior Loan Officers survey published by the US Federal Reserve - reporting that 80% of domestic banks have tightened their lending criteria over the past three months and that demand for commercial real estate loans remain very weak.
