Consultation seeking views on the Less Favoured Area Support Scheme for Scotland. The present scheme is an interim one, running from 1 January 2007 until 31 December 2009. Current EU-wide discussions about support for Less Favoured Areas (LFAs) could impact significantly on the classification of LFAs and the basis for payments after 2014; accordingly, this consultation paper focuses on the development of a second interim scheme for the period from 1 January 2010 until 31 December 2013. Deadline for comments is 19 December 2008.
