Developing a greater understanding of agricultural tenants [electronic resource]

Developing a greater understanding of agricultural tenants [electronic resource] - London RICS 2008
This conference paper sets out the findings of two large scale projects researching agricultural tenants. The findings should prove beneficial to landlords seeking to manage their rural land resources better. There can be significant added value attributed to agricultural land at the end of an Agricultural Holdings Act tenancy and so the likelihood of when tenants might give up a holding is of obvious interest to landlords. The studies also identify certain social and behavioural traits and try and link these to the way in which tenants manage their farms, as well as looking at how factors under the owner's or agent's control affect agricultural tenancies.
