The document is a synergy of elements of the updated CABE Space guidance 'Green space strategies: a good practice guide' and an update of the guidance for London 'Mayor's guide to preparing open space strategies: best practice guidance of the London plan' and looks to provide guidance suited to the whole of England. Explores ways of improving open space provision, including funding; planning obligations and collaborative partnership. Responses must be received by 19 December 2008.
