London is at the bottom of the activity league, reporting 8.3 sales by surveyor. New buyer enquiries and newly agreed sales balances are still negative but improved for the fifth consecutive month. Enquiries and sales balances are at their strongest levels since May and December 2007. Inventory of stocks on surveyor's books dropped to 81.5 in September. This is the lowest level since December 2007. Explains that this fall in stock levels is due to sellers choosing to let their property.
