Forestry Commission Scotland has been tasked by the Scottish Government with exploring options to assist the fight against climate change by better use of the national forest estate. Such proposals should, however, maintain the existing public benefits that the estate provides. This consultation paper relates to legal provisions in the Scottish Climate Change Bill that may be required to enable the necessary action to take place. Deadline for comments is 27 January 2009.
