Latest government statistics for affordable housing supply in England. 53 370 additional affordable homes were supplied in 2008, an increase of 21 percent. New build homes accounted for 43 561 or 81 percent of affordable homes during the period. Just under half (47 percent) of affordable homes were provided in London and eight out of nine regions showed an increase in available affordable homes.
