Finds that UK house prices have fallen by 11.5% since January 2008. The mix-adjusted house price was £195,724 (not seasonally adjusted). UK house prices fell by 3.9% in the quarter ending January 2009, compared with a fall of 5.2% in the quarter ending October 2008. Average house prices fell by 6.3% in Scotland, and in England (11.8%); Wales (10.4%) and Northern Ireland (14.3%). Annual average house prices paid by first time buyers in January 2009 were 15.4% lower than a year ago. House prices paid by former owner occupiers were 10.0% lower.
