Announces the launch of RICS New Rules of Measurement volume one. This new tool allows those involved in a construction project to have a standard set of rules. These rules are primarily for the UK but can be applicable worldwide. Volume one "Order of Cost Estimating and Elemental Cost Planning" provides quantification guidelines to help prepare costs estimates and costs plans and gives guidance on costs associated with construction such as preliminaries, overheads and profit, project team and design team fees, risk allowances, inflation, and other development and project costs.
