Presents initial findings from an upcoming Peterson Institute for International Economics study on the economics of building efficiency. The study uses the model developed by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development as part of their Energy Efficiency in Buildings project to assess the costs involved in altering the global building stock to achieve the target of a 50% reduction in emissions set by the G8. The report also examines the policy options available to bring about this change.
