Finds that the historic environment makes a significant contribution, directly employing around 41 000 FTE employees and indirectly supporting around 20 000 more. Estimates that the historic environment sector contributes over £2.3bn to Scotland's national gross value added (GVA), which represents around £4.5bn in terms of output.
