Examines the problems which the current lack of regulation of letting agencies causes for tenants. Looks at the practice carried out by many agencies of charging tenants substantial extra sums for services which are part of the normal process of letting and managing a property and which should therefore be covered by rent. Calls upon the Government to introduce statutory regulation of letting agents, including dealing with unfair additional charges.
