Reports that in the third quarter 2009, construction workload declined across all sectors, remaining in negative territory, except in public works. 6% of surveyors reported a decline in activity compared to 26% in the second quarter 2009. This is the best reading since the first quarter 2008. Private commercial workloads experienced a worse situation than in the last quarter as 12% more surveyors reported a drop in workloads. Outlook is slightly more positive for the next 12 months, with more surveyors expecting workloads to rise.
