A discussion paper which scopes the challenges of planning and delivering long-term infrastructure in cities to support their sustainable growth. The framework surrounding environmental sustainability and economic growth in cities is used to identify some broad best practice principles which city administrations need to take into account when planning their forward infrastructure plans, as well as key infrastructure issues to consider. Also sets out potential areas for further research to support policy makers and the property profession in delivering sustainable urban growth.
