The Q1 2010 survey provides evidence of continued recovery in global real estate markets with investment transactions up on the previous quarter in almost all markets. The occupier market is improving despite rents still falling in the majority of the survey countries. Latin America and Asia are clear leaders in the real estate cycle from a world regional perspective. Brazil recorded the most positive net balance on rent expectations in the survey and was near the top in terms of capital value expectations with Hong Kong and China registering strongly positive net balance readings for both of these forward looking indicators.
