Provides a rationale for the proposed changes in the 9th edition of the "International Valuation Standards" (IVS) to be published in January 2011. The IVS have been subtlety changed to address the subject of valuation rather than who does valuation. The objective is to make them accessible not only to valuation practitioners but also to their clients and any third parties who may rely on valuations. Comments are required by the 3 September 2010.
