Report for third quarter of 2010 shows how local authority planning permissions to build new homes have dropped alarmingly from 2007-2008 levels and are at one of the lowest levels in the last five years and the second lowest of the past 19 quarters. There has been a steady fall throughout 2010 for permissions with a drop in England from over 40 000 in quarter one to just over 30 000 in quarter three. Report complied by Glenigan for HBF
