Natural Environment White Paper outlines the governments' vision for the natural environment for the next 50 years. The paper intends to curb the loss of nature across England and strengthen links between people and the wild. Key measures include new Nature Improvement Areas to transform rural and urban areas and provide bigger connected sites for wildlife to live in and adapt to climate change, Green Areas Designation to allow local communities to give protection to areas that are important to them and an annual statement of green accounts for UK Plc which show where the economy has withdrawn from the value of nature's bank balance and where it has been invested.
