The Q3 2011 RICS Construction Market Survey highlights three key points. Firstly, total workloads remained broadly flat in the third quarter (the net balance edged down from +1 to -1). Secondly, the regional divergence that emerged at the end of 2010 continued with London being the only region recording rising workloads. Lastly, the outlook for the coming 12 months has deteriorated, with expectations for workloads and employment turning negative and expectations for profit margins turning more negative.
