The Construction Sector Transparency Initiative (CoST) is an international multi-stakeholder initiative to increase transparency and accountability in publicly financed construction. It is supported by the Department for International Development (DFID) and the World Bank. After being piloted in eight countries (Ethiopia, Guatemala, Malawi, the Philippines, Tanzania, United Kingdom, Vietnam and Zambia) it is currently being scaled up to become a global initiative.
