[2010] EWHC 1063 (TCC), 14 May 2010. Claimant property developer A claimed damages against defendant plumbing and heating firm U whose employee negligently caused a fire in one of A's properties. A sought compensation from U for loss of profits on the basis that delay in receipt of funds from the sale of the property prevented A from purchasing similar sites in a favourable market in the interim period.
