House prices increased in January 2012 by 1.1% but fell by 1.% since January 2011. The average house price is £161 545. Prices fell across all regions apart from London with an annual increase of 2.9%. The number of property transactions has increased over the last year. In August to November 2010, there was an average of 58 485 per month. In the same months this year, the average sales per month were 60 422.
