The CA decision Calabar Properties v Stitcher (1983) (See Abstract 32177) brought about a substantial increase in the amount of damages awarded to tenants for breach of their landlords` repairing covenants . This article summarises cases illustrating the level of damages which have been awarded since Stitcher in both the CA and the county courts.
