House prices decreased in February 2012 by 0.6% but fell by 0.6% since February 2011. The average house price is £160 372. Prices fell across all regions including London and South East apart from North East. The number of property transactions has increased over the last year. In October 2010 to January 2011, there was an average of 52 363. Between October 2011 and January 2012, the average sales per month were 55 661.
