In the construction sector, seasonally adjusted production rose by 0.1% in the euro area and by 1.6% in the EU27 in May 2012, compared with the previous month. In April 2012, production decreased by 3.7% and 6.9% respectively. Compared with May 2011, production in May 2012 dropped by 8.4% in the euro area and by 6.9% in the EU27.
