Considers the effect on affordability issues of the large increase in overseas investment in the private sector housing at the prime and high end of the market is having on the London residential market. 60% of all new build homes are purchased by overseas investors with 5 billion pounds being invested in luxury homes, five times more than annual investment on affordable homes and a third of loans made for home loans. Calls for investment in the affordable homes sector rather than in the luxury sector.
