Office of Fair Trading report makes a number of recommendations to the Government and others to improve consumer protection and encourage more competition and choice in the insulation sector. In the evidence gathering for the report the OFT received comments that some traders are not always installing the most suitable form of insulation and in response has recommended that the government should ensure that a single body has clear responsibility for longer term monitoring of the quality of installations carried out under the ECO and Green Deal initiatives.
