Market view UK summer 2012 UK's double dip further hits construction confidence - tender prices continue to suffer [electronic resource]

The latest output figures show that construction slowed by 4.8% in the 1st quarter of the year and with the UK economy now in a double dip recession, the future for the construction sector continues to look poor. Whilst the level of construction activity rose by 2.7% during 2011, the 1st quarter 2012 figure is down 4.8% on the previous quarter and is the worst figure since the 1st quarter of 2010.
