Looks at the change from the imposition of planning obligations under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 S106, to the new Community Infrastructure Levy which came into force in April 2010. The Levy allows local authorities in England and Wales to raise funds from developers undertaking new building projects in their area, and to use the money to fund a wide range of infrastructure that is needed as a result of development.
