DEFRA announces a £5m fund pilot for areas at risk or affected by flooding. Local authorities across England are invited to come forward with proposals to improve their communities' resilience to flooding with funding for the successful applicants beginning in March 2013. The Flood Resilience Community Pathfinder is a pilot scheme that will run over two years.
