Research commissioned by the Department of Transport into users valuations of townscape improvements and pedestrianisation. The short term objectives of this initial study were to explore potential approaches to valuation of these benefits by a review of the relevant literature, an assessment of possible approaches to valuation of townscape and pedestrianisation and a pilot study to test the feasibility of the preferred valuation techniques emerging from the review.
