The UK's Global Gas Challenge Research Report [electronic resource]
- 2014
Research finds that shale gas is unlikely to become a primary energy resource within the next 10 years and that the UK was not likely to follow the United States of America whose shale gas industry has contributed to increasing energy self-sufficiency. This suggests that given the predicted timetable for the implementation of shale gas drilling in the UK the resource will not provide a quick fix for possible energy shortages in the future.
