Estimates the total occupancy costs of two refurbished or converted hospital wards or blocks. The first building is the refurbishment of a part two-storey and part single-storey hospital block, with the creation of a new x-ray unit. The building has a gross internal floor area of 817m2. Example 2 is the conversion of an open plan ward to a consulting and treatment suite, with a floor area of 406m2. Through the preparation and pricing of a schedule of occupancy tasks, estimates have been prepared for all anticipated costs over the first 20 years of the life of each building.
