Construction industry structure in India [electronic resource] - London RICS 2013 - COBRA 2013 .
A paper presented at the COBRA Conference in New Delhi on 10-12 September 2013. Looks at the economic concerns and inefficiencies in the Indian construction industry and investigates a model that both explains this industry's structure as well as providing a framework to improve efficiency. The Best Value (BV) model is examined as an approach to be adopted in lieu of the traditional approach. This could result in efficient construction projects by minimizing cost overruns and delays, which until now have been a rarity.
