This standard is intended to measure office buildings let to single and multiple occupants on a rentable area basis. Outlines two measurement methods: Legacy method calculates the rental areas of the building and each of its floor levels and Single Load Factor Method uses base building circulation which redistributes the rentable area of the building across its floor levels in a manner that produces an identical load factor on all floor levels of the building. The BOMA Standard for office buildings have been in use since 1915.
