Tenant Fees Act 2019 Guidance for landlords and letting agents

Offers guidance to landlords and tenants on what payments tenants can be asked to pay in connection with taking out a tenancy in the private rented sector. These include rent, a refundable tenancy deposit capped at 5 weeks rent and a refundable holdng deposit capped at a weeks rent, payments to change the tenancy, payments in respect of utilities, council tax and television licence. Any other fees are considered as prohibited payments banned under the Act.
