British Telecommunications plc v Broadway (VO) (No 2)

British Telecommunications plc v Broadway (VO) (No 2) - 1996 - Rating Appeals [1996] RA 297-324(15) .

LT 29 March 1996. The ratepayers sought a reduction in rateable value as Aldershot (where the premises were situated) stood out from nearby towns as having relatively low office rents. They further contended that an allowance should be made for the size of the property and the effect on rental value of the ground and upper floors from the lack of passenger lift services. "Held" assessment to be reduced by £28,750.
