The collection consists of a publication entitled 'The members of the Land Surveyors' Club from its foundation, 21 June 1834 to 21 June 1934 and other information concerning the club', and lists of members of the Club dating from 1885, 1834-1947, 1949 and 1958.
The Land Surveyors' Club was founded in 1834, arising out of informal meetings held by a group of land agents between 1830 and 1834. The aim of the Club was to promote the discussion of matters of interest to professional men connected with the land. Meetings were held on the first Monday after Quarter-days.
