Construction Products Association's latest construction industry forecasts show that private sector growth in the industry will weaken in the next three years making government spending crucial to sustain further growth. Public sector output is forecast to grow by 7.5% in 2004, 3.1% in 2005 and 2.5% in 2006. Overall industry growth is set to slow by 1.5% this year before growth resumes by 2006.
