The best sales and orders performance by UK companies since 1998 were seen by the end of 2003, according to Lloyds TSB Corporate's half-yearly "Business in Britain" survey. The figures show 49% of firms reported an increase in sales and 43% saw a rise in orders. The data was collected from over 1 800 firms with turnover of more than £1m.
